
Authorities are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a car north of Atlanta, shutting down a busy road during Thursday morning's commute.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/W6NvNS) that the person was struck before 7 a.m. Thursday on East Cherokee Drive near Berry Patch Road.
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said East Cherokee Drive remained closed at 8:15 a.m.
Details of the death were not immediately available.
