GRIFFIN, Ga. -
A 9-year-old Griffin girl whose body was found near her home over the weekend will be laid to rest on Thursday.
The funeral for Skylar Dials will be held at 11 a.m. at Griffin Center Point Church. She will be buried at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service.
Dials disappeared last Friday, and her body was found around 2 a.m. on Saturday in a wooded area near her home.
A 40-year-old neighbor, Shane Collett, has confessed to the murder. He is being held in the Spalding County Jail without bond.
