The Fulton County Jail was briefly placed on lockdown after reports of a fire on Monday night.
According to Tracy Flanagan of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary investigation showed that a mattress caught fire. That fire was put out and inmates in that section were relocated to another floor.
Some inmates and staff are being treated for smoke inhalation, according to Flanagan.
