Displaced Cobb woman gets new home

Posted: Updated:
COBB COUNTY, Ga. -

A displaced Cobb County woman now has a new home just in time celebrate the holidays.

Tonia Brower was forced out of the home she was renting. She then qualified for a Neighborhood Stabilization Program from APD Solutions. .

And Friday, months later, she moved into the first home she'll ever own.

It's in south Fulton County and has a beautiful kitchen.

Cobb County gave Brower relocation funds and Fulton County gave her closing costs and a subsidy toward the purchase cost.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program improves communities by rebuilding blighted and vacant homes,  then it finds homeowners to move in.
