A state lawmaker is taking on Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

State Sen. Renee Unterman of Gwinnett County says she'll introduce Senate bill 14 to help the growing population in Georgia affected by Alzheimer's and dementia.

Unterman says it's a growing concern here and Georgia is lagging behind.

Health experts say Alzheimer's disease and dementia is expected to grow by over 140 percent in Georgia by 2030.
