State fire officials want to make sure Georgians who ring in 2013 with fireworks play it safe. Georgia's insurance commissioner along with Gwinnett County firefighters demonstrated safety techniques on Wednesday.
They had legal fireworks on display and showed the proper way to light them.
Commissioner Hudgens emphasized the importance of using only legal fireworks that sparkle only and don't explode.
