ATLANTA -

FOX 5 got a first look on Tuesday at the model for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum planned for downtown Atlanta.

The $100 million project is currently under construction next to the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium.

The museum will spotlight leaders from the American Civil Rights Movement, as well as human rights struggles around the globe.

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum will also house 10,000 documents and artifacts from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and a series of paintings based on the life of Congressman John Lewis.

Construction is expected to be complete sometime in 2014.
