ATLANTA -

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is asking people to send supportive messages to patients who are spending their holidays in the hospital.

This is the second year for the "Share the Hope" campaign. Organizers are hoping to get thousands of messages that will play on the closed circuit TVs in the rooms of the 1,200 families staying at children's over the holiday season.

Atlanta Falcons player Brent Grimes made a special visit to Egleston on Tuesday and says it's a wonderful way to give back this Christmas.

The Verizon Foundation has also pledge to donate $3 for each message submitted through ShareWithChildrens.org.
