ATLANTA -
You'll want to keep an eye to the sky as you return to work and school today. More rain is headed our way, and we'll see thunder and lightning as the day progresses.
FOX 5 Storm Team meteorologist Joanne Feldman says showers will increase this afternoon, and warmer air will support stronger thunderstorms southeast of Macon during the afternoon hours. However, storms in much of north and central Georgia will stay below severe levels.
Still, gusty winds, thunder and lightning are likely from noon through the early evening.
Much of the area received a soaking rain on Sunday, and we'll add to that total today. Feldman says most spots will get another 1/2-1/4 inch of rain by the time storms move out of the area.
As always, Feldman recommends you make sure you're staying alert to the possible changing weather conditions today.
