FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. -
Four Fayette County deputies were honored on Tuesday for their part in saving a man's life.
Last March, the four officers saw a member of the county defender's office suffer a massive heart attack during a court session. They responded immediately and saved the life of Glen Howell.
Francis Cavender, Chad Cowart, Warren Collinsworth and Ron Evans all kept Howell alive until medical emergency officials arrived and took over his care.
The four heroes were recognized for their actions on Tuesday at the Fayette County Sheriff's Office. Howell was there as well and shared how grateful he was to be alive.
All four officers were presented with a medal and a framed certificate for their work that day.
