Police have named a suspect in a shooting at a DeKalb County apartment complex that left three people dead early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to the Crystal Point Apartments on Peppertree Circle, where they found the three victims in the parking lot.
Police told FOX 5 on Wednesday that the shootings were not random, and all three of the victims knew the suspect. Investigators say they were all involved in a dispute over money, and the three victims came to the apartment complex around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday to resolve it.
Witnesses told police they heard arguing, then a scream and multiple gunshots. One car was left running in the parking lot, but they're not sure if the victims were getting in or out of that car.
Authorities have not identified any of the victims, but they do say two men and one woman were killed.
Police are searching for 32-year-old Brian Levern Gupton in connection with the shooting. He may be driving a smoke gray 2004-06 BMW 745 with tinted windows.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact DeKalb County Police at (770) 724-7850.
