The need to help a 2-year-old boy struck in the head by a falling tree limb continues with fundraisers to be held Friday and Saturday in Winder.
Tripp Halstead has been in the hospital for over two weeks since he suffered a severe head injury when the limb struck his head at his daycare.
A concert to raise funds for the Halstead family will be held at the Barrow County Leisure Center on 175 2nd Street in Winder on Friday. The doors open at 5:45 p.m. and the concert gets underway at 6:30 p.m. All the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Halstead family.
The Cribs to Crayon Daycare is organizing a fundraiser on Saturday, November 17 to be held at the Winder Lions Club. Anyone wishing to set up a booth or donate items at the silent auction can get the information by clicking here. They will also be accepting items for the silent auction at the Cribs to Crayon Daycare on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The daycare is located at 116 West May Street in Winder.
Tripp's family posted an update on his condition on Wednesday, saying the boy had a great night on Tuesday. They say his breathing tube could be removed very soon.
