A skull and other remains found in Morgan County a year ago have now been identified as an Army veteran reporting missing in Gwinnett County five year earlier.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Office stated in a release sent to FOX 5 News on Friday that the remains found in November 2011 belong to Jason M. Roark. He was reported missing in 2006. His vehicle was found at a rest area in Morgan County shortly after his disappearance. He was honorably discharged from the Army after two tours of duty in Iraq.
The sheriff's department still doesn't know who is responsible for his disappearance. It is encouraging anyone with information to contact the department.
