Missing southeast Ga. girl found safe in Norcross

Posted: Updated:

Authorities say a 14-year-old girl who was said to be in extreme danger after she was abducted by a man on Saturday in southeast Georgia has been found unharmed.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed Monday morning that Griselda Cibrian had been found and is in the custody of the Norcross Police Department.  Police apparently got a call at about 8:20 a.m. that she was at the Knights Inn on Brooks Hollow Parkway.

Authorities say the 24-year-old suspect, Raymundo Aranda-Parra of Norcross, fled the motel but was located an hour later.

Authorities say the teen met Aranda-Parra seven months ago on a website called Mocospace.  They say this is likely the third time they have seen each other.  They said that it appeared that she had met Aranda-Parra voluntarily and that there was no abduction.

According to investigators, Griselda called her parents and said she wanted to come home.  Police believe she likely represented herself as a 19-year-old.

Aranda-Parra is charged with statutory rape and interfering with custody.
