Police are investigating an accident involving a 16-year-old girl that was hit by a vehicle.
A spokesperson for the Sandy Springs Police Department tells FOX 5 News that the girl was struck by the vehicle just after 5 p.m. Friday while crossing Roswell Road at the corner of Dalrymple Road. They say the driver stopped after the accident and is cooperating with police.
They say the girl was transported to Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Egleston. Her name and condition has not yet been released.
Traffic in the area had to be rerouted during peak evening commute while police investigated the accident.
