ATLANTA -
A diverse coalition opposed to Georgia's charter schools amendment rallied at the Georgia State Capitol on Monday.
State Sen. Emanuel Jones also filed requests with the Georgia attorney general and the U.S. attorney general to open investigations of voter fraud in connection with the amendment.
Jones argues that the ballot question contains deceptive language and he contends that big money is attempting to hijack school choice in Georgia.
Those supporting the charter schools referendum marched to the state Capitol last week.
If the constitutional amendment is approved, it would give the state more authority to fund charter schools.
