MACON, Ga. -

A 17-year-old high school senior from Macon is the area's new Cherry Blossom Festival queen.
The Telegraph of Macon reports Hannah Moore was crowned Saturday night during the pageant at Wesleyan College.
Moore was among 11 contestants who competed for a chance to represent the 2013 Cherry Blossom Festival during a series of events next March. The runner-up was Mercer University freshman Jamie Coates of Savannah, who acknowledged onstage to the audience that she's never attended the annual festival in Macon.
Moore told judges during a question-and-answer portion of the pageant that she draws inspiration from her mother's grace and beauty.
