ATLANTA -

Police released a picture from a surveillance camera in Virginia Highland of a car which may be connected to a bizarre confrontation between a man and a 12-year-old girl.

Police say the car caught by the security cameras matches the description given by the girl. She described the suspect was driving a gold Toyota Prius or similar vehicle.

Investigators are trying to find the man police say followed a 12-year-old girl into her house around 9 a.m. Thursday. Once inside, the girl told police that the man ordered her upstairs. That is when she screamed, pushed the man out of the way, and ran out of the home.

The girl was not physically harmed during the incident.

Police say the man appears to be in his 30s with blond or auburn hair that is slightly longer than a crew cut. The clean-shaven suspect is about 6-feet tall with a large build. He had on a blue jacket and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

Anyone who sees the man or knows anything regarding the incident should call police immediately.
