Tucker player taken out on stretcher to be OK, father says

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

The father of a high school football player who was taken out on a stretcher during a game says that his son will be OK.

The Tucker Tigers were playing the MLK Lions at Halford Stadium in DeKalb County on Friday night. In the third quarter, Ian Rigby, a senior, was injured during a play.

The game stopped for 20 minutes as medical crews rendered aid. An ambulance took the young player to DeKalb Medical Center as his teammates prayed.

Rigby's father said that his son is being kept overnight for observation as a precaution.
