Poll shows majority of Ga. voters favor Romney

ATLANTA -

A new Insider Advantage poll released on Friday shows the majority of Georgia voters seem to favor Mitt Romney as their next president.

The poll, taken Thursday night, shows Romney with 54 percent, and President Barack Obama with 42 percent.

"We're pretty much settled in this state. I will say that the trend from this looks to me like President Obama won't get anywhere near the 47 plus percent that he saw in 2008 and that Romney is coming on a little stronger than I expected," said Matt Towery of InsiderAdvantage.

Of the 426 registered voters surveyed, the majority were white, and slightly over 50 percent were women.

The margin of error in the poll is 4.7 percent.
