ATLANTA -
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Roswell police are asking the public's help in identifying and apprehending a suspect in connection with three bank robberies.
Authorities say a black female allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Alpharetta Highway in Roswell last week. Police say she approached one of the bank tellers, announced she was robbing the bank, and took an undisclosed amount of money.
The woman then struck another Wells Fargo Bank in Roswell on Tuesday, according to the FBI. In that instance, she did not get away with any money.
After that botched attempt, investigators say the same suspect went across town and then robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at the Shannon Mall in Union City. As in the first robbery, she approached a teller, announced a robbery and took an undisclosed amount of money.
In each robbery the suspect fled the area on foot.
Police say the woman in her 30s is of medium complexion, is 5'2" to 5'5" tall and weighing between 110 and 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black wig with purple tint, a grayish dress hat, and wearing large framed sunglasses.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call FBI at (404) 679-9000, Roswell police at (770) 640-4100, or Union City police at (770) 306-6849.
