Jewelry store in Marietta robbed

MARIETTA, Ga. -

Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Thursday afternoon in Cobb County.

According to authorities, the robbery occurred at Edwards-Johns Jewelers located at 1205 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta.

Police say that a man asked to see some jewelry and then pulled a gun on a worker.

The suspect managed to get away with some of the merchandise.

No shots were fired but workers inside were reportedly shaken up.
