According to a Career Builders survey, 30 percent of workers call in sick when they're not.

The survey says next to actually being sick, the most common excuse was that employees didn't feel like going to work.

Other excuses for calling in sick – dog was having a nervous breakdown, being bitten by a bird, and being upset after watching The Hunger Games.
