Nissan recalling certain Altima vehicles

NEW YORK -

Nissan isrecalling certain model year 2012 and 2013 Altima vehicles that total about13,900 because their bolts could become loose and fall out, increasing the riskof a car crash.

The National Highway TrafficSafety Administration says on its website that the vehicles may have beenequipped with transverse link bolts and power steering rack bolts that were nottorqued to proper specification.

The vehicles were made from May10 through July 26. Dealers will tighten the bolts to the properspecifications. The recall is expected to begin on or about Oct. 29. Ownerswith questions may call Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
