A 15-year-old boy says he was jumped by a group of teens after a game at the Georgia Dome on Saturday.
Brandon Mahoney was at the Dome for the Grady High homecoming football game with his sisters and some family friends.
He says he had just crossed the street from the Dome and was heading over to the Vine Street MARTA station when someone attacked him from behind.
Brandon spent two days in the hospital after his jaw was broken in two places in the attack.
Brandon and the girls who were with him all say they'd never seen the teens who attacked before and never talked to their or interacted with them that night.
"I'm so glad they didn't take his life…because one punch could have led to another punch and had he not screamed or the girls screamed out, they'd probably done some more harm to my son," said Shirley Gwinn, Brandon's mother.
Brandon is mainly talking through text messages.
"He was a target. He was a victim and I just wish someone would come forth -- whoever saw anything. That's what my whole desire is. If you saw anything, let's find out who these boys are," said Gwinn.
Atlanta police said they have not made any arrests and have no suspects in the attack. Brandon's mother hopes that someone who witnessed the assault will come forward.
