Authorities say a woman has been killed when she was struck by a police car while walking across a Columbus street.
Television station WRBL reports that the accident occurred early Sunday morning on North Lumpkin Road near Victory Drive in Columbus.
Muscogee County Coroner Bill Thrower said the woman died about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses said the woman was apparently walking to a local night club at the time of the accident.
