Two robbery suspects surrendered peacefully after nearly a three-hour standoff with police at a strip mall in Chamblee.
A spokesperson for the Chamblee Police Department tells FOX 5 News that just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, three men entered a cell phone store located at a 4401 Chamblee Dunwoody Road. A tripped silent alarm sent police racing to the scene.
Police say they confronted the three men as they were heading out of the store. One of them fled the scene by hopping over a fence. The other two men went back inside and tried to flee police through the ceiling.
An employee inside the store who was tied up was able to escape safely outside the store during the standoff.
The two men eventually surrendered to SWAT units.
The building was searched, but no one else was found inside.
