Cartersville Couple arrested for forging, selling prescriptions

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -
A Bartow County couple was arrested after police say they illegally obtained and sold prescription drugs.
According to the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force, Stephen and Sarah Chapman were arrested on charges of forgery, drug distribution and identity fraud.
Authorities say the couple worked at Floyd Urgent Care in Cartersville. While there, police say Sarah Chapman illegally forged prescriptions and then gave them to her husband. Stephen Chapman would then get the prescriptions filled at different pharmacies.
Officials say the couple would then sell those illegally-obtained prescription drugs.
