Police say two armed, masked robbers used a sledgehammer to bust through bulletproof glass at a southwest Atlanta convenience store early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 2,000 block of Countyline Road at the business called Our Convenience Store.
Atlanta police say the two men tied up the cashier and placed the cashier in the back of the store. They took money from the register, broke into video machines, and cut the wires to the store's video surveillance system. They say they then took off with the cashier's cell phone and car.
According to police, the cashier was not able to get a good description of the suspects.
Police say they later recovered the car from a nearby house. The suspects remain on the loose.
The cashier was not hurt.
