ATLANTA -

FOX News is reporting a new study finds checking Twitter and Facebook is more addicting than cigarettes and sex!

The study was done by the University of Chicago Booth School of business.

The report says the study followed 250 people in Germany for a week using smartphones. It checked in with them about every 30 minutes and found the hardest desires to resist were going on to social media sites. They wanted it more than cigarettes alcohol and yes, even sex.

The study's lead author says people can become addicted to social media because its free, readily accessible, and harder to turn down.
