A Griffin mother who is battling a flesh-eating bacteria says her young children don't understand why it's taking so long for her to heal. Desiree Alford is home from the hospital, but she still has a long and very difficult road ahead.
Alford says when she first found out she had the bacteria, she was terrified. She has no idea how she got it. In fact, she's a stay-at-home mom who says she never went anywhere except to run errands or to her children's school, but now, she just wants to get better so she can get back to being a mom.

FOX 5 has learned that two Newton County elementary school students are being treated for injuries after they were bitten by a fox while they were playing on a playground.
