The man's remains were found outside the Efficiency Lodge Motel on Senoia Road. Police searched the area after a neighbor had called to report smelling a foul odor.
According to Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo of the Fairburn Police Department, Anthony Bethea, 28, was arrested Sunday night in connection with the death.
Bethea is being help at Fulton County Jail without bond, according to Bayzdlo.
