Spielberg, Williams join symphony for concert

ATLANTA -

Academy Award winners director Steven Spielberg and composer John Williams joins the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for a benefit concert this month.
 
The proceeds of the performance will benefit the orchestra's education and community engagement programs. It will take place in the Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center on Oct. 24 at 8 p.m.
 
Williams will conduct the orchestra in selections from his popular original film compositions. The program will showcase a variety of movies scores composed by Williams, including selections from "Star Wars," "Schindler's List," "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" and the "Indiana Jones" and Harry Potter" films.
 
Spielberg will host the second half of the concert and supplement the musical program with anecdotes and insight into the featured films.
