VINELAND, N.J. -

When we're growing up, teachers often tell us to follow our dreams, but it's not everyday one of them puts their preaching into practice.

A Vineland, New Jersey elementary school teacher is doing just that.

Steve Calakos teaches by day and performs on stage by night.

Calakos says he wants to inspire his kids and push the lesson that it's a good thing to follow your passion.

Calakos says he loves to perform and sometimes, he gets a little of both when in the classroom.

The fourth grade teacher says his students are his biggest fans.
