Reward offered in puppy abandonment

Posted: Updated:
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

A $2,500 reward is being offered to help DeKalb County police catch the person who abandoned a malnourished puppy.

The DeKalb County Animal Task Force says the little pup, named Xena by rescuers, was on the brink of death when someone apparently dumped her in a yard on September 15.

Xena is now fighting her way back to good health, thanks to people who donated thousands of dollars to help her recovery.

If you have information in the case, call DeKalb County Police.
