Cpl. Jake Smith of the Gwinnett County Police Department said that robbery was the likely motive in the shooting.
The shooting occurred between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. just 50 yards away from a busy bus stop. Police plan to canvass the area on Friday.
"Somebody in the area likely heard or saw something. Maybe they don't even realize that it was important that they saw it. But if anybody was in the area and saw or heard anything out of the ordinary, we would love to talk to those people," said Smith.
Anyone who might have been in the area on September 22nd or knows anything about the incident should contact the Gwinnett County Police Department.
