The driver of the car which wedged itself up under a tractor trailer on Georgia Highway 36 Thursday morning had to be cut free by rescue workers.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of Georgia Highway 316 in between Winder Highway and Hurricane Trail in Dacula just before 7 a.m. The accident closed the road for a time and caused a major backup through the end of the morning commute.
Crews worked to get the driver out of the cut out of the car. They were taken to an area hospital. The driver's condition was not immediately known.
