City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management employees took part in a hazmat drill on Wednesday.
They dressed in actual hazmat gear to prepare responding to a chemical spill.
City officials say the training is important so employees can effectively respond to a potentially dangerous situation, like chemical and sewer spills.
They say if city workers are trained to respond to this type of situation. It will save the city money by not hiring outside workers.
