Police in Carroll County say a man is facing charges after being accused of having sex with a corpse.
Temple police say Wade Davis, 64, is facing a charge of necrophilia. Police said that the woman died at Davis' home on September 18 and that he may have waited up to four hours before calling 911. During that time, they alleged that Davis had sex with the woman's body.
Davis was booked in the Carroll County Detention Center, and released on bond on Friday, according to police.
Davis is apparently renting the home on Enterprise Drive where the alleged incident took place. He had no comment about the charge when asked by FOX 5 on Monday.
Authorities said that they don't know how the woman died. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an autopsy and toxicology tests.
Police said that Davis could face more charges once the circumstances behind the woman's death are determined.
