ATLANTA -
Fire crews in southwest Atlanta say people had to be rescued after flames broke out at a home early Monday morning.
Authorities say the fire broke out at around 5 a.m. at a home on Parsons Street.
Residents tell FOX 5 that there were several people upstairs in the multi-family residence, and that they had to be rescued through the windows.
One resident says he thinks the fire started in the back of his house. Crews on the scene say there's heavy damage to the back of the home.
It is not known what sparked the fire.
