Heart Walk raises awareness, funds to fight heart disease

ATLANTA -
Thousands of people turned out Saturday morning with a message straight from the heart.
It was a high-profile fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Adults and children walked together in Atlantic Station along a three-mile route for the Heart Walk.
Organizers hope the event raises awareness of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases. They also hope to raise about $1.6 million from the event.
