Georgia lawmakers continue their efforts to reduce gun restrictions in the state, but Republican leaders under the Gold Dome are reluctant to move forward with big changes this year.

A new polls show that Georgia appears it will remain a safe bet for Republicans.
The InsiderAdvantage/FOX 5 poll of likely voters indicates that 56 percent favor GOP candidate Mitt Romney, 35 percent say they'll vote for President Barack Obama while 7 percent are undecided.
What about managing the economy? Forty-seven percent of Georgia voters say they think Romney would do a better job, compared to just 5 percent for President Obama.
Of voters who said they
were undecided, 42 percent said they thought Romney would do a better job of
dealing with foreign policy and potential acts of terrorism from abroad. Seven
percent said President Obama would do a better job, while 43 percent remained
undecided.
Another question asked Georgia voters who they'd rather have dinner with. Some 41 percent said Romney, while only 5 percent said President Obama.
