ATLANTA -

According to a recent report in the Daily Mail, a new study says growing up with two married parents is as important as a good education when it comes to escaping poverty.

They say a stable home raises a child's chances of escaping poverty by 82 percent!

When well-educated families were compared, marriage increased  a child's chance of living above the poverty line by 75 percent, according to the report.

The study also says 37 percent of children in families below the poverty level were in households where their parents were not married.
