A Florida organization donated 100,000 healthy meals to Fulton County schools on Friday.
Social workers will distribute the meals, which were donated by Feeding Children Everywhere, to families across the metro Atlanta area. It's part of a national three million meal project.
Sara Smith, Fulton County School's homeless liaison, said around 45 percent of students receives free or reduced lunches. She said there are some schools where nearly every student is on the program.
Meals will also be handed out at local county schools, churches and food banks.
