ATLANTA -
The city of Atlanta claimed a victory on Monday in its ongoing legal battle with a losing airport food vendor.
The lawsuit revolves around the recent billion dollar bid to provide food and shopping at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
Losing bidder SSP America claimed the city violated the state open meetings law and open records act, and wanted a judge to throw out the winning bids.
On Monday, Judge Cynthia Wright ruled against SSP, saying the food vendor has other legal avenues to protest the bid and the city didn't violate the open meetings act.
Judge Wright will schedule another hearing to determine whether the city violated the open records act. If so, the city could be punished and forced to pay SSP's attorney's fees.
