Hot Topic: Do you use social media sites?

Posted: Updated:

When it comes to social media, are you in, or are you out?  According to a new study, more than one-third of the U.S. population doesn't use social media sites like Facebook or Twitter.

According to Daily Mail, the independent survey was created by marketing, e-commerce and web development expert Jamie Grove, with help from Google.  Grove asked internet users if they use their Facebook or Twitter accounts to sign into other sites online.

Of the 16,000-plus surveyed, the study found that 35 percent are not on Facebook or Twitter.  And of those who said they do use the social media sites, nearly half said they were afraid of falling victim to scams.
