Two teens ejected during accident in Paulding CountyMore>>
A group of teenagers on their way home from school Friday afternoon crashed into a car with three small children in Paulding County.
Police say two of the teens inside the jeep were ejected after running into a grandmother with three small children at the intersection of Ivey Gulledge Road and Fieldcrest Drive. One of those teens was airlifted to an Atlanta area hospital in critical conditions. The other teen ejected and a third child were both taken to an area hospital.
A bus carrying classmates from North Paulding High School pulled up around the same time. Those aboard recognized those in the Jeep.
The crash caused a fire in the car which collided with the Jeep. They worked quickly to put it out and make sure everyone was safe.
Neighbors tell FOX 5 News that this is not the first accident they've seen in this particular curve on the road. They say the most common factor for crashes at the location is speed.
Troopers are looking into the teens were all wearing seatbelts. The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
