Officials at Grady Hospital are seeking the public's help to identify a man who has been a patient at the hospital since Saturday.
They say the man was the victim of a shooting, and was dropped off near the emergency room entrance at DeKalb Medical Center at around 2:30 a.m. He was then transferred to Grady a short time later.
They describe the man as an African American, in his early 20s, approximately 6' tall and weighing 190 pounds. He has short cut hair and a goatee. There is a tattoo on his upper right chest that has six letters with musical notes above the letters.
Police in Stone Mountain say the man may have been involved in an August 31 shooting that occurred at the Lakes Apartments on West Mountain Street. The shooting left 34-year-old Darius Grays dead. The say one of the suspects had a low hair cut and another had dreads.
According to police, the two fled the scene in a silver or gray vehicle, driven by a black female.
The unknown man, who had short hair, was dropped off at DeKalb Medical Center within the time frame of the deadly shooting, according to police. They are trying to determine if the two incidents are related.
If anyone knows the patient, or has any information about him, call Grady Social Services at 404-616-5331.
