HALL COUNTY, Ga. -

Police are needing the public's help to break open the case of a violent murder involving a 16-year-old who was found dead behind her apartments near Lake Lanier in Hall County.

Authorities in Hall County and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are looking for a vehicle in connection with the case of the murder of a 16-year-old girl, and are asking the public's help to find it.

Hannah Truelove's body was found in a wooded area behind the Lake Lanier Club Apartments last month. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Police say witnesses saw Truelove in the parking lot of the complex talking to someone prior to her death.

Investigators say they are looking for a late 1990s to early 2000s four-door passenger car that could be a Chevrolet or Dodge, light silver in color with front end damage. It may also have a door that is white or a lighter shade of silver.

They say the car may have been in the area of the apartments on August 23, and police believe the people in the car may have information that will aid the investigation. Truelove's body was found the night of the 24th in the wooded area behind the Lake Lanier Club apartments on Dawsonville Highway near the shore of Lake Lanier.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hall County police at 770-503-3232, or the GBI tip line at 800-597-8477.
