Residents in western Georgia can get a shot of the flu vaccine from a government-sponsored clinic.
The Public Health Department in Carroll County will dispense the vaccine during a clinic Friday available to residents. Supervisor Debra Caraveo told The Times-Georgian (http://bit.ly/NddIv4 ) that the rest of the office will be shut down so workers can focus on quickly dispending the vaccine.
The cost will be $25 per shot. Medicare, Medicaid, United Healthcare and Signa state plans are accepted.
The shots are available to anyone 6 months or older.
